We visited the Cersaie fair!
At the most prestigious event of the tile trade, the Italian Cersaie fair, we once again saw plenty of exciting wall and floor tiles. We met the designers and saw first-hand which trends to expect on the tile market. Read on and get inspired with us!
Our mission is to bring original Italian and Spanish design to Hungary, and the freshest possible: we try to visit the Cersaie fair in Bologna every time so we can expand our range based on what we see there. Here is what we saw!
Marble, marble, marble!
Marble-look ceramic tiles continue to dominate the market. The hallmark of a quality tile is that its pattern is scanned from real stone. Thanks to mechanical polishing they create an exclusive sight and resemble real marble to the last detail. In earlier years light colours dominated, but darker shades are increasingly popular, as the picture below shows.
Bold botanical elements
There is no walking past the unrivalled vegetation of the Mediterranean – and so it was for the designers of the tiles in the picture. Beautiful shapes and pleasant colours characterised the pieces we saw at the fair, and we brought you a bouquet of them.
Painterly beauties
Tiles verging on the artistic formed a segment of their own. The richness of the pattern and the astonishing combination of colours create the unique mood radiated by floor and wall tiles with abstract patterns. Here is an example, dominated by light beige and brownish shades.
Metallic sheen
Today's technology makes it possible to give ceramic tiles almost any effect. The metallic, metallised effect is an eye-catching trend once again, and it too can give a room a defining, unique mood. In dark colours it suits more rustic, loft-style spaces perfectly, but combined with the right furniture and objects we could imagine it almost anywhere.
